Rubies of Eventide - Boss Mobs

Boss mobs provide good to great equipment, coin and the ever elusive Rubies. All are rare spawn with the trigger often involving time of day. Many boss mobs despawn at sunlight.

Tomb Guardian

The Tomb Guardian is the first boss mob that most players enounter. This is because the tomb is literally the only zone for players level 30 to 40. The Tomb Guardian's spawn is purely random. He has a small chance to spawn any time at all. He has spawned while a group was still splitting the loot from the last kill and people have sat in his room for 2-3 real life days without his spawning.

Thalas

Thalas is a minor boss mob who spawns on ruins level 2. He is only listed because he posesses the norite ring and because he has a unique spawn pattern. Thalas has a 1-3 hour real live interval between spawns. Once his spawn time comes, a check is made to see if it is nighttime. If it is, he spawns. If it is not, a new random 1-3 hour interval is selected. Thalas spawns in a room just north of the safe room which is just north of the sashite room.

Alastaire

Alastaire is the boss mob from ruins level 2. Alastaire will spawn at 30h00 any night or not at all. He will despawn at dawn. He has not been dropping rubies lately but does still posess the rapier of quickness

Akvan

Akvan is the boss mob from bane level 3. Lore of Evendtide is not sure what the spawn trigger for Akvan is. He does seem to spawn at night. He does despawn at times. He gets stronger every time he kills a player.

Gressil

Gressil is a reboot only mob in Morkesh. His spawn was removed from the game when people discovered a pathing bug that allowed them to kill him with immunity.

Ghost Scythe

Ghost scythe spawns in the forest south of silver lake. The trigger to spawning the ghost scythe is not known at this time.

Golden Goblin

Not really a boss mob, but an interesting find. He spawns due west of KB city at 10h00 in the morning or not at all. He aggros everything in sight. He is a full bar con to a level 5 but is an easy kill. He usually drops 1 larn but has been known to drop a ruby.

Kobold Chieftan

The kobold chieftans spawn with the dire kobolds in wold. They are slightly harder than lesser ents. Their loot list includes good mana potions, 1 larn and very rarely, a ruby.
